Drs. John Dawson

Doctor Dawson studied medicine at the University of Leiden and specialized as a general practitioner in Paramaribo. He followed his specialization in gynecology/obstetrics in hospitals in Paramaribo, UMC Amsterdam (AMC) and Utrecht UMC.

After initially practicing the full breadth of the profession as a gynaecologist, during the last 20 years of his career he mainly focused on and specialized in the subspecializations of urogynaecology/pelvic floor problems, benign surgical gynaecology and gynecological oncology. His work is characterized by an essential interest in the patient, humanity, striving for perfection/excellence and being critical of oneself. This combination of enthusiasm and pleasure in the work characterizes him as a doctor, combined with the aim to provide the best care with focus and attention for a good result.
